Flu Season Information
The number of flu cases seen in our area and in our schools has been steadily increasing. This informational flier includes facts about the flu, how to protect your child(ren), and what to do if you suspect that they may have the flu. It is our hope that this flier will help parents better protect their children and others as we navigate this flu season together. Public Hearing
The Charlotte County School Board will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on the FY2020 Budget on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 6:45 p.m. in the County Administration Boardroom located at 250 LeGrande Ave., Suite A, Charlotte Court House, Virginia. All interested persons are invited to offer comments on the development of the 2019-20 Budget at that time.
Budget Work Session
The Charlotte County School Board will hold a BUDGET WORKSESSION on the FY2020 Budget on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the School Board Office located at 250 LeGrande Avenue, Suite E, Charlotte Court House, Virginia.
Adult Spelling Bee for Southside Viriginia
Charlotte Adult Learning Center is hosting an Adult Spelling Bee and dinner on Friday, March 1, 2019, at Central Middle School. Parents, Grandparents and Students are invited to participate. Call (434) 542-5782 to register your team of spellers. The entry fee is $10 per person and includes a pancake dinner.
Pre-Kindergarten Registration
Pre-Kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year will begin on February 1, 2019, and conclude on March 29, 2019. Children must be four years old by September 30, 2019, to be eligible to attend this program. Enrollment in the pre-kindergarten program is need-based and subject to space availability. Information and registration forms are linked here and can also be accessed by contacting the school at which the student will attend. Kindergarten Enrollment
Enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year will begin on February 1, 2019, and conclude on March 29, 2019. Children must be five years old by September 30, 2019, to be eligible to attend. According to the Virginia Code Section 22.1-254, all children who will be age five by September 30 must be enrolled in an appropriate school setting.
