NOTICE OF VACANCY: Secretary (10–months)
Charlotte County Public Schools is seeking applications to fill a secretarial position at Randolph-Henry High School. The applicant shall possess knowledge and skills related to the function of a business office along with experience and certifications as listed below.
Duties and Qualifications:
- Composes or transcribes from rough draft, correspondence, bulletins, memorandums, and other materials.
- Helps with attendance, enrollment and withdrawal of students, and record keeping.
- Enters daily attendance into the computer system and prepares necessary correspondence.
- Greets visitors to the school, determines the nature of business and directs visitors to destination.
- Talks with student encountering problem and resolves problem or directs student to other worker.
- Answers telephone to provide information, take message, or transfer calls.
- Works with the Bookkeeper to maintain office and school supplies, prepare inventories and requisition supplies.
- Receives and distributes all consumable supplies used in the office.
- Maintains the confidentiality of reports, records, and personal experiences regarding students, employees, and parents.
- Serves as a backup to the bookkeeper when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $19,772 – 30,000
